Our Mission
The Cancer Care Network Foundation's primary mission is to provide advocacy and resources to eliminate barriers to quality care for patients affected by cancer. Funds raised provide financial assistance, complementary support for patients and families currently fighting cancer, as well as support for projects and organizations that provide charitable services to our community in the field of cancer care, education and prevention.
Cancer Prevention
Lifestyle changes have been proven to reduce the risk of cancer and complications as well as reducing the risk of death even after cancer has been diagnosed. The Foundation sponsors proven prevention programs for patients at greatest risk for cancer and cancer related complications.
Patient Education and Advocacy
Healthcare is undergoing tremendous changes with deep and lasting implications particularly for cancer patients, who avail of the healthcare system in significant ways. Recently passed laws in healthcare are sweeping and will continue to affect changes for years to come. The Foundation participates in sponsorship of programs providing advocacy for cancer patients attempting to navigate this complicated and changing environment.
Cancer Support Services
The Foundation participates in sponsorship of cancer support services, such as counseling, hair and make-up, support groups, nutrition counseling, and other complementary therapy and services.
Patient Financial Services
An ongoing fund has been established to provide financial relief to patients unable to meet their co-pays and deductibles for cancer care and therapy.
Caregiver Programs
Specialized training in cancer care is essential in the battle against the disease. The Foundation plans to sponsor scholarships toward Oncology Nursing and cancer therapy expertise, such as infusion training and Palliative care training.
Local Community
While millions of dollars are raised every year for organizations that are seeking the cure to cancer through research and other programs worldwide, the Foundation funds and sponsors programs that are specifically benefiting patients currently battling cancer, and only in the United States, especially within our local community.
